These mini lures are perfect for jigging over sandbanks to catch sandeel, herring, and launce for bait. The small size 12 hooks allow you to hook the fish and cause minimal damage allowing the eels to work well when used as live bait.
The Sandeel rig will also pick up other species and can at times catch mackerel more effectively than traditional larger lures.
The rig can also be baited with small bits of bait to target assorted mini-species
