The Spooligan Hex is a neat little tripod accessory.
It serves two purposes and the Spooligan Hex acts as both an anchor point to help you hold your rod stand firmly on the beach and also helps to support long baited rigs when they are hanging on your stand.
The Spooligan Hex just slides onto your rod stand leg and acts as a mounting point for a bungee strap. To secure your stand just attach the Bungee to a handy stone or bag/bucket of shingle. By doing this you greatly reduce the risk of your stand and expensive rods being pulled over by strong tides, the wind and hard-pulling fish.
As well as securing your stand the slots on the top of the Spooligan Hex act as a support for baited traces helping to both keep them clipped up but also safely out of the way and ready for a quick change of rigs.
The Spooligan Hex comes in two different sizes to fit both the Standard Leg (5/8”) and Extending Legs (3/4”) used on the most popular rod stands.
