VARIVAS Semi Circle Hooks

The Varivas Semi Circle pattern of hook is popular in the Far East and the unique bend and offset point helps to give improved hooking. The Varivas Semi Circle is less inclined to deep hook’ than a standard J hook and Semi Circles see most fish being hooked in the lips or scissors.
The Varivas Semi Circle is not as curved as a standard full circle hooks and this means they are a better option when baiting up with worms etc.
The small sizes are made with a standard gauge wire and are popular with match anglers after flatties and eels.The bigger size 3/0 and 4/0 Varivas Semi Circle use 2x wire for extra strength when targeting rays, hounds, cod etc.
The 4’s and 2’s are also working well on the boat for Bream with anglers reporting an improved strike rate over normal Aberdeen type hook.
